Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and display name when you create an account or sign in with Google.
• Location — approximate or precise location, only when you grant permission, so we can show restaurants near you. You can use the app by typing a city instead.
• Usage data — searches, restaurants viewed, deals tapped, and device/browser information used to operate and improve the service.
• Referral data — your referral code and the sign-ups attributed to it.

We do not collect your credit-card statements, bank logins, or payment card numbers. Pockly never asks you to connect a bank account.

2. How we use it

• To find restaurants near you and rank them by reward value.
• To create and secure your account and referral credits.
• To send service messages and, if you opt in, deal alerts.
• To measure feature usage and fix problems.

3. Location data

Location is used to return nearby results at the time you request them. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device or browser settings; the app continues to work using manual city search.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers that host our database, send email, and provide mapping and place data, under contract and only to operate Pockly.
• Rewards programs when you choose to click through to them, in which case their own privacy policies apply to what happens on their sites.
• Legal authorities where required by law.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure aggregate usage. You can clear or block them in your browser, though sign-in will stop working.

6. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations. Delete your account and we remove or anonymize associated personal data.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Email privacy@getpockly.com and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

Pockly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls limiting it to authorized personnel. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

10. Changes

We will post any update here and revise the date above. Material changes will also be announced in the app.
